Coach Peja Ilic
Peja Ilic is a former Division 1 player from Serbia with five years of professional experience. After moving to the United States in 2012, he played for the Columbus Crew and Virginia Royals, where he developed his passion for coaching. Currently, Peja leads the U19 Girls Team in the National League and plays for the ASA Reds in the National Premier Soccer League. As a USSF "B" license candidate, Peja brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his coaching, focusing on fundamental skills, tactical insights, and personalized player development.
His coaching philosophy centers around holistic player development, focusing not only on technical skills but also on leadership, teamwork, and mental toughness. His personalized approach ensures that each player receives individualized attention and tailored guidance to maximize their potential.
Rodney Ngoh
Rodney and his family are from Cameroon, West Africa, where fĂștbol is an integral part of the culture. He started playing for his local club, Fort Washington Cannons, before playing for the DC United Academy. Rodney then played four years of collegiate soccer at Marymount University, captaining the men's soccer team and winning numerous awards and honors, such as being selected for the VASID All-State First Team and Marymount All-Decade Team. He began coaching while playing for the Alexandria Reds Pro team. Rodney's favorite soccer memories are scoring game-winning goals and celebrating with his teammates. His favorite part of coaching is the process: which is teaching someone interested in soccer, watching that interest become a love for the game, and the joy they express after mastering a new skill through training.
